CCH Pounder

CCH Pounder is one of those rare actors that can convey an emotion without saying a single word. And when she needs to speak, it just adds another layer to an already three-dimensional character that she's created.

Known mostly for her role as Claudette Wyms on the powerful police drama, The Shield, CCH Pounder is the role model for giving a natural performance.

Even though she had appeared in movies and television since 1979, it was her leading role in the 1987 film, Bagdad Cafe, that first gave her the attention she so richly deserved. What followed was mainly television work which included an Emmy nomination for her role in ER.

Whatever the medium, or the size of the role, CCH Pounder can always be counted on for a solid, no-nonsense performance that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled, making her my pick for the day for Not Very Famous...but should be.

  1. seriously??? gotta say I disagree again...most do know her, if not by name though they know it cause of its uniqueness, because of her shows...all you gotta say is she was...BOOM there it is...

  2. I also have to disagree. She's long outgrown her niche days on obscure shows like "Warehouse 13." You may feel she's famous for the wrong reasons, or whatever, but she's on NCIS, and is therefore seen weekly by half the population of the US.
