So true - His performance in Menace II Society is one of the most riveting and honest portrayals of a tortured inner-city youth, that I believed him to be much like the character he played. In fact, I was shocked to hear him later speak in an interview as the eloquent and clearly intelligent talent that he is. Even his weakest role in Kevin Costner's 'The Postman', made the movie more organic with the innocence he infused in his character 'Ford Lincoln Mercury',.. quite a feat. Kudos again to NVF for giving him recognition, though I'm convinced that we have yet to see him at his very best, as he's still young.
